Planning a tour can be a great addition to your Disney World vacation especially if you want to go behind the scenes and learn more about the theme parks. There are tours offered in Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom that give you the chance to learn more about the history of the theme parks and go behind the scenes.
Some of these tours are extremely popular and sell out in seconds so make sure you plan in advance on how to book one of these Walt Disney World Tours for your trip.

In my opinion, the Keys to the Kingdom Tour is the best tour at Disney World when it comes to value. This five hour experience costs between $129 and $149 per person and includes an in-depth tour of the Magic Kingdom. This tour also includes a delicious lunch which is covered under the total price.
The coolest thing about this tour is being to walk through the infamous underground “Utilidor” tunnels which allow Cast Members to travel beneath the park without being seen. Guests will also learn hidden secrets about classic Magic Kingdom attractions, while getting to skip the line and experience popular rides such as Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise.
The tour guide will share the story and vision of Walt Disney, little known trivia and facts about the designing of Magic Kingdom, and so much more. Although the Keys to the Kingdom tour is more informative compared to the VIP tours which focus on experiencing all four parks, it is still an awesome experience that I personally recommend.
EPCOT- Behind the Seeds Tour
Another fun and low cost tour at EPCOT is the Behind the Seeds Tour. For only $39-$45 per person, guests are taken on a backstage tour of the The Land Pavilion and learn about the future of agriculture. This one hour tour takes guests on a tour of the fish farm and four greenhouses within The Land Pavilion.
These tours are usually pretty easy to book as they take place multiple times per day. This tour is obviously less expensive and does not offer the same benefits of VIP tours, but is another great option if you're looking for a great low cost tour experience.
EPCOT Seas Adventures – DiveQuest
This tour offers a scuba experience with guaranteed calm seas and unlimited visibility. Guests must be SCUBA-certified to participate. Guests swim with over 6,000 sea creatures in the Caribbean Coral Reef, a 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium. Family and friends with EPCOT admission can watch through the pavilion’s 56 giant windows. Tour participants will also tour the enormous backstage infrastructure that filters and maintains this incredible man-made ocean.
The EPCOT Seas Adventures – DiveQuest costs $249 per adult. All Guests must be SCUBA-certified and 10 years of age or older to participate. All diving equipment is provided.
Animal Kingdom- Wild Africa Trek
For animal lovers, the Wild Africa Trek tour at Animal Kingdom is a must! For $229Â per person, guests will embark on a three hour private expedition and get up close experiences with exotic African wildlife. African-inspired snacks are also included after the trek such as pita and hummus, prosciutto and mozzarella, and chicken wraps.
This tour is truly an adventure! Guests will cross a rope bridge through the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction, ride in a safari vehicle over the savanna, and see Animal Kingdom in a completely new and exciting way. Guests will also receive a complimentary souvenir and photos taken throughout the experience.
The Wild Africa Trek is very different compared to the VIP tours in terms of experience, especially being limited to the Animal Kingdom park. However the cost is significantly less and is still a unique way to experience Animal Kingdom.
Animal Kingdom- Caring for Giants
The Caring for Giants tour allows animal lovers to get closer look at the majestic African elephants and learn what it takes to care for them. In this this 60-minute experience guests will meet with dedicated animal specialists and observe the elephants from approximately 80 to 100 feet away.
