We have some sad news to share today. “Porch Potato” Frank, who was a frequent and beloved presence on Main Street U.S.A., has passed away. For nearly twenty years, Disneyland's “Porch Potato” Frank often sat on the porch on Main Street U.S.A. people-watching, and he was widely known at Disneyland. He was lovingly referred to as the unofficial “Mayor of Main Street.”
Below, we'd like to share the message from his family and sentiments from Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, Josh D'Amaro, who recently visited with him last month during the park's 70th anniversary.

“Porch Potato” Frank at Disneyland
Frank's family shared the news of his passing on Instagram with the following caption: “It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of Frank, our beloved Porch Potato. He brought joy to us all with fist bumbs, high fives and enough stories for a million lifetimes. He graced Main Street for almost 20 years (that we can count). You would hear him say “everyday is my is my best day”. He lived for his Disney days and Porch family.”
Josh D'Amaro visited with him during Disneyland's 70th anniversary day when he was at the park. Josh shared their picture together on his Instagram story, saying, “So sorry to hear about the passing of Frank, Disneyland's Porch Potato. You will be missed.” He also commented on the post shared by Frank's family, “One of my favorite things about walking down Main Street was seeing Frank. I feel so lucky to have spent time on the porch with him on our 70th anniversary and so sorry to hear of his passing.”
