On Monday night, police chased after two suspects driving a vehicle that authorities say was reportedly stolen from a Ritz-Carlton hotel, according to a report by ABC-7. The suspect car reached speeds of up to 100 miles an hour during the police chase on the northbound 5 Freeway through Irvine. The chase ended in the Pixar Pals parking structure, where the suspects left the vehicle and fled on foot.
Due to this incident, several visitors were stuck at Disneyland as the garage was locked down while police searched for the suspects, who were later found and taken into custody.

On TikTok, danny_mcduck documented the incident in a video, which begins with a Cast Member giving instructions to cross the bridge in an orderly fashion. The Cast Member yelled, “I'm sorry about the non-magical time!” which was met with a few laughs.
According to the video, police spent about an hour looking for the suspects before the pedestrian bridge was opened back up. The entrances to the parking structures were shut down during the search.
On a somewhat lighter note, a commenter on the TikTok video shared that lines were low during this time. TikTok user ApriL commented, “Not me in the park thinking we beat the spring breakers. We were going on rides only waiting 20 minutes per ride.”
The incident caused a big backup in Downtown Disney especially as guests trying to get to the parking garage couldn't leave and crowded into this area.
