Our Favorites: Snacks

Auntie Anne’s

Auntie Anne’s

Location: Terminal A and B Food Court, Gates 100-129, Gates 70-79, Terminal C Palm Court

Auntie Anne’s has been a personal favorite of mine for delicious soft pretzels and pretzel bites. It’s certainly not the Wetzel’s Pretzels Kiosk at Disney Springs, but honestly, it’s really close. The best part? There’s 4 locations throughout Orlando Airport, making it an easy choice.

Cinnabon

Location: Terminal A and B Food Court, Terminal C Palm Court

Another all-time favorite of mine, Cinnabon has been serving incredible cinnamon rolls for decades. Grab one with their signature coffee blend. For those who just want the ooey gooey part of the cinnamon roll, you can even get just the center!

Cold Stone Creamery

Location: Gates 1-29

If you’re craving ice cream, look no further than Cold Stone Creamery. This spot is my go-to spot when it comes to chain ice cream parlors. They serve up a variety of classic flavors as well as wild creations that taste just as awesome as they look. My personal favorite? The Cookie Minster, a wonderful blend of mint, chocolate, and OREO cookies.

Zaza

Location: Gates 10-19, Gates 30-59

Orlando has some of the best Cuban food, and thanks to Zaza, you can have some right inside Orlando International Airport! From authentic empanadas and classic Cuban sandwiches to sweet baked pastries and even roasted Cuban coffee, travelers have plenty to choose from to get a little taste of Havana.

Our Favorites: Quick Service Restaurants

Chick Fil A

Chick Fil A

Location: Terminal A and B Food Court, Terminal C Palm Court

The ever-popular chicken spot has 2 locations, making it an easy choice for food on-the-go. Grab a crispy chicken sandwich. Or for something easier to nibble on, order their nuggets and tenders. But of course, their chicken is nothing without one of their amazing sauces.

Qdoba

Location: Gates 30-59

Qdoba is a solid Mexican grill that serves as a great option when I’m on the go. Similar to Chipotle, Qdoba serves burritos, bowls, quesadillas, and more. I’m not taking sides here, but many would argue that the food here tastes better than the food at Chipotle!

Shake Shack

Location: Terminal C Palm Court

Shake Shack is a top-pick when looking for a quick burger, fries, and shake. Need to spice things up a bit more? How about crinkle-cut fries and frozen custard? Shake Shack has gained a lot of popularity in recent years, and for good reason: their food easily satisfies fast-food cravings.

Our Favorites: Table Service Restaurants and Bars

Any Airport Lounge

Orlando Airport Lounge

Location: The Club MCO: Gates 1-29 and Gates 70-99, Admiral’s Club: Gates 30-59, Plaza Premium Lounge: Terminal C Palm Court

For any introvert (especially any Disney introvert, or D-introvert on Instagram), an airport lounge can be a welcome sight in the midst of the airport chaos.

Whether or not you have lounge access through your credit card, your airline loyalty, or by flying business class, spending time at an airport lounge is more than just taking advantage of the free food and drink. It’s about taking time to breathe before your next flight in a space with less noise, less people, and most of all, less stress.

When it comes to traveling by plane, I intentionally arrive up to 3 hours early just to relax at an airport lounge.

Cask & Larder

Cask and Larder

Location: Gates 100-129, Terminal C Palm Court

This “Southern comfort eatery and brewhouse” comes from James Beard Award-nominated chefs. Along with its delicious cuisine and Southern-inspired cocktails, Cask & Larder also boasts beautiful lighting and finishes, making guests forget that they’re even in the airport. Get this: Cask & Larder was brought to us by the same founders of The Polite Pig in Disney Springs!

Orange County Brewers

Orange County Brewers

Location: Terminal A and B East Hall, Terminal C Gates 240-245

If you’re looking for a local brew, look no further than Orange County Brewers. This spot is great to unwind before your flight with a beer to kickoff your flight. They even have small bites and a bloody mary to spice up your pre-flight meal!

Summer House

Summer House

Location: Terminal C Palm Court

From the same people that brought Summer House to Disney Springs recently, Summer House now makes Terminal C a place travelers must make time to visit when at Orlando Airport. Summer House has it all: coffee, fresh baked goods, a full-service restaurant and bar, a market, and even a to-go counter. Their food is made from simple, fresh ingredients that pack a ton of flavor.

Sunshine Diner

Location: Terminal C Gates 230-238

From the same Chef Art Smith who brought us Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs, Sunshine Diner is part of Chef Art Smith’s “dream to revitalize the American diner,” but as a “modern-day diner,” complete with a full bar! With his track record, how could you go wrong?

Wine Bar George

 Food Wine Bar George

Location: Terminal C Palm Court

With how much Orlando Airport has in common with Disney Springs, it comes as no surprise that Wine Bar George is here. Just like at its location in Disney Springs, travelers can grab some iconic sips and bites, including their house-made hummus, artisan cheese and charcuterie boards, frozé, and of course a wine from their incredible collection.

Restaurants to Skip

Inside of Orlando Airport

Like we mentioned earlier, not all airport food is created equal. Here’s our list of restaurants to skip at Orlando Airport.

Starbucks

Before you “at” me in the comments, hear me out first.

Almost every time I flew through Orlando Airport, every single Starbucks location near the gates were very busy, with lines snaking out the door on several occasions. Tack on the higher prices of coffee and snacks here compared to Starbucks locations outside of the airport, and you’ve got a “no” from me.

In the end, it’s not the food or the coffee that turn me away – it’s the experience and prices.

Dunkin’ Donuts

Dunkin’ Donuts

It’s my personal opinion that any Dunkin’ Donuts outside of Massachusetts isn’t worth your time or money.

I acknowledge that these are strong words. However, there’s a big population out there that agrees. At every Dunkin’ location I’ve visited outside of its home state, the coffee I had tasted closer to the medicine I had as a child and the donuts I’ve had at any Dunkin’ airport location were always stale. And while I haven’t had this experience, I know of travelers at Orlando Airport who have had bad experiences with the employees at Dunkin’.

Besides, there’s plenty of Zaza locations to fulfill your coffee and sweets needs!

Manchu Wok

I’m a big fan of Asian food, and this spot really didn’t do it for me.

The biggest issue I’ve had with this spot in the past is that the food here consistently doesn’t taste fresh. I’ve had bites of hope, but for the most part, the orange chicken tasted stale and the vegetables had some questionable dark spots on them.

My take? If you’re looking for Asian food, Panda Express or Asian Chao will be your best bet.

So now begs the question: where will you dine on your next trip through Orlando Airport? Read on for a full list of restaurants at Orlando International Airport!
