Favorite Opening-Day Disneyland Ride Debuts New Scene Change

One of Disneyland's fan-favorite opening day attractions has debuted a new change for one of its scenes.

This ride recently closed earlier this year for refurbishment, and one particular scene has been undergoing work since then to build a new and improved structure. Scene Change to Opening Day Disneyland Ride

Jungle Cruise in Adventureland closed for refurbishment earlier this fall and reopened with construction still taking place on the tiger ruins scene in the ride.

As reported by the Orange County Register, Disney had originally filed permits in August to add “new electrical, footings, steel frame and cement plaster rockwork on the Jungle Cruise tiger structure.” Work has been ongoing for a while to rebuild and make improvements to the structure, and it is now finally complete! They reportedly spent close to $600,000 on the improvement.

You can see what the structure looks like now in a post shared by Luke & Enzo on X, who point out the structure's now-taller height and new detailing. It's great to see this Jungle Cruise scene looking refreshed. See the last image for how the ride looked previously.

Jungle Cruise at Disneyland is one of the best Disneyland rides that has been around since opening day. The classic ride takes guests on a journey navigating the dangers of rivers around the world guided by a skipper who provides amusing commentary and jokes along the way.
