Disney Junior Dance Party

Disney Jr. Dance Party in Disney California Adventure just had its last performance yesterday, and the show has been canceled to make way for a new experience. This was an interactive show in Hollywood Land featuring Disney Jr. characters targeted towards a younger audience where they were encouraged to dance and sing along. Disney shared that the show has been canceled to make way for a new show to debut later this year, and more details will be shared soon.

This is not the only performance space that will be out of commission—both the Hyperion and Fantasyland Theatre, two bigger live entertainment spaces at Disneyland, are currently sitting empty. Fans have been begging Disney to bring back a show to the Hyperion (see ten shows we'd love to see here) as the space has been sitting empty since Rogers: The Musical had its very brief run in the summer of 2023. While the Fantasyland Theatre has been used seasonally for character meet-and-greets and a dance party during Pixar Fest, it has not been used for a full live show since Tale of the Lion King in early 2024.

These live entertainment offerings were truly a special part of the Disneyland magic, not to mention an effective way to break up crowds in the parks during performance times. We're hoping that in addition to this new show at the Disney Jr. Dancy Party stage, Disney will announce what is coming next to these two unutilized performance spaces.
