We’re taking a look today at the rides that experienced the highest amount of downtime in 2025, and these may not be the ones you expected. Plus, we’ll take a look at the rides that had the highest wait times, and the days of the year when this happened. Disneyland Rides With Highest Downtime in 2025
In the data below, we’re taking a look at the Disneyland rides that experienced the most downtime in the year beginning in December 2024 and ending at the beginning of December 2025, as well as the Disneyland rides with the highest wait times within this same timeframe and the dates when these occurred.

A lot of people believe that Rise of the Resistance is the ride with the highest downtime, but this actually isn’t true. Because it’s such a high-profile attraction, it’s just more noticeable when it does experience downtime.
For the purposes of the list below, a ride’s status as “down” includes everything from weather to technical issues, people dropping things that shut the ride down, etc. When rides in Fantasyland are closed for fireworks, they’re considered “closed,” as they are outside their operating hours.
You can see the list of the 15 Disneyland attractions with the highest downtimes in 2025 below. As you can see, the top rides with the most downtime are directly influenced by weather conditions like rain or wind. We like to joke that Golden Zephyr shuts down if there is so much as a slight breeze.
Rise of the Resistance is actually further down at the #7 spot. Rides like Rise of the Resistance, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Indiana Jones Adventure often experience more downtime due to technical issues or guests dropping items. When this happens, they have to fully reset the ride, which can take a while. They recently implemented a new rule on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway requiring phones to be put away.
Radiator Springs Racers and Space Mountain did not make the top 15, which may be surprising to some. These two rides ranked at #18 and #19, respectively.

We’re also going to take a look at the rides with the highest wait times in 2025. This list may be far less surprising, as these rides are consistently quite popular.
However, it is interesting that Haunted Mansion Holiday did not make the top 10. Perhaps the length of time that the attraction is open throughout the year smooths out the demand a bit more than for other overlays like Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.
See the list of Disneyland rides with the highest wait times and the days when those wait times occurred below. Unsurprisingly, most of these wait times were recorded on days of the year that are typically peak crowds, as predicted in our Mickey Visit Disneyland crowd calendar. This includes several days in October and the week of Thanksgiving.

I was at the parks on November 30, 2025 and there’s no way space mountain was anywhere close to 300 minutes. I never saw it go above 60 minutes. Could that be some kind of glitch?
It could be or they may have set it to that before a down time.
