There are a good handful of ride closures coming up soon at Disneyland during the quieter time in January, following the holidays. We now have the refurbishment end date of a top Disney California Adventure thrill ride listed on the calendar!

Top Disney California Adventure Ride Reopening Date
At Disney California Adventure, there will be three closures in the same land in January that share some overlap on the refurbishment calendar. We recently got the end dates for a handful of rides and restaurants, including Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind and Lamplight Lounge, and we now have the reopening date for the Incredicoaster as well.

The Incredicoaster will be closed from January 5, 2026, through February 5, 2026. Right now, it is set to reopen on February 6, 2026. This closure duration is not a huge surprise, as the Incredicoaster has been due for a longer refurbishment. Most of it is happening during a time with low projected crowds in our Mickey Visit Disneyland crowd calendar, save for one busy holiday weekend.
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind will be closed from January 5, 2026, through January 22, 2026, and Lamplight Lounge will be closed from January 12, 2026, through January 15, 2026. If you’re visiting during the 12th through the 15th, especially, you’ll want to be aware of these simultaneous closures in Pixar Pier.
There are also several other closures happening at the resort in January. In Disney California Adventure, Grizzly River Run kicks off its seasonal refurbishment on January 5, and Smokejumpers Grill will have a short closure from January 5, 2026, through January 9, 2026.

Over at Disneyland Park, there are a good handful of closures happening soon. The Haunted Mansion will have its seasonal closure to remove the overlay, and “it’s a small world”‘s seasonal closure will begin shortly afterwards. Additionally, we have a rare closure for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance coming up soon.
