After Multiple Years, Disneyland Construction Walls Come Down Revealing Unexpected Addition

Construction walls at Disneyland usually go up to hide “works in progress” in the parks which range from minor improvements to significant updates.

Usually we have a good idea what’s going on behind the walls but the newest construction walls to come down revealed an unexpected surprise that greatly enhances the atmosphere of Adventureland.

Adventureland Debuts New Fountain

Disneyland has had recurring issues with plumbing here since at least 2023 when a pipe burst in the Adventureland bathrooms which resulted in a maze of construction walls creating a large bottleneck at the time. After that incident, Adventureland has continued to be plagued by construction walls as Disneyland worked to fix these problems behind the scenes. In particular one corner of rock work outside of the men’s restroom has been behind walls since that period.

In fact, we were just talking about how long these walls have been up in Adventureland when they finally came down to reveal a new themed fountain that appears to depict King Louie from The Jungle Book. The water wasn’t currently running in the fountain when we took this picture but it looks like it’s set up to have running water in the future.

This new fountain is located in between the bathrooms in Adventureland, right after you walk under the archway into the land.

New Fountain Fits Adventureland Theme Perfectly

The new fountain fits right in with the theming in the land as it looks like something that you would drift past on the Jungle Cruise or bounce by on Indiana Jones Adventure. The area by the bathrooms in Adventureland, in addition to its years of plumbing issues, benefits from this additional theming as this area of the land has always been a bit lackluster.

Since it’s also in the eye-line of those entering the land, this is definitely an upgrade to the space. In the featured image at the top of the article you can see the colorful hut structure that sits above this new fountain. That shows just how close the fountain is to the entrance to the land.

The news comes as Disneyland is also at work rebuilding the tree outside of the Tiki Room.
