Disneyland has announced a brand new Disneyland After Dark theme for its 2026 lineup in celebration of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary! This new theme looks like it will lean heavily into nostalgia with lots of references to the park’s history.

Disneyland After Dark 70th Anniversary Theme

The new 70 Years of Favorites theme promises a “sentimental journey commemorating seven decades of unforgettable moments” at Disneyland, inspired by the 70th anniversary celebration at the resort. The event will bring in “the best of Disneyland happenings, including nods to favorite musical moments, shows, and characters.”
The event will feature moments from Disneyland’s past in a “figurative walk down memory lane” with offerings paying tribute to the park’s history.

Entertainment highlights include a Videopolis Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace,
Line Dancing at The Golden Horseshoe, custom projections, and interactions with Disney characters.
Here are the descriptions of the offerings Disney has shared so far:
Videopolis Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace: Be immersed in the neon nostalgia of the ‘80s as Tomorrowland Terrace transforms into the ultimate throwback dance party, featuring a live DJ, nonstop ‘80s hits and iconic retro décor.
Line Dancing at The Golden Horseshoe: Hey Howdy Hey! Join a toe-tapping tribute to Woody’s Round Up in Frontierland’s most iconic venue—where music, characters and western fun come together in a rootin’ tootin’ good time.
Swing Dancing at Royal Theatre in Fantasyland: Get ready to jitterbug and jive to the sweet beats of swing dancing at Royal Theatre in Fantasyland. Once upon a time, all the hepcats gathered here for the swingiest bands around. Now, it’s your chance to light up the dance floor!

Character encounters include the following:
- Mickey Mouse and pals
- Disney Princesses
- Some favorite “Long Lost Friends” from The Disney Afternoon
- Mother and Father from the attraction Carousel of Progress
- Merlin from The Sword in the Stone
- Flik from A Bug’s Life
- Atta from A Bug’s Life
- Fantasmic! Monkeys
There will also be photo ops inspired by past entertainment like “Mad T Party,” “Main Street Electrical Parade,” and Club Buzz, as well as favorite attractions.

Some of the new themed foods and drinks are a “nod to Disneyland kitchens of yesteryear,” including the following:
- Mushroom Philly sandwich (plant-based) and maple bacon cinnamon roll at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe
- Birria mac and cheese in a bread bowl at Refreshment Corner
- Gaston Brew at Red Rose Taverne
- Blackened New York steak and prawns at River Belle Terrace
70 Years of Favorites 2026 Dates & Ticket Info

70 Years of Favorites will take place on two dates in March 2026, with the following ticket pricing:
- March 3, 2026: $159
- March 5, 2026: $159
There will be a Magic Key pre-sale for Inspire Key holders (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT) on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Then, on Wednesday, December 10, all Magic Key holders will have the opportunity to purchase from a select number of pre-sale tickets. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
