Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park

Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is one of two water parks at Walt Disney World.

The theme of Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is a twist on a normal water park theme. The story goes that Blizzard Beach is a melting ski resort that is the result of a freak snowstorm which created the first ski hill in Florida. As the snow began to melt, a blue alligator named Ice Gator went down the hill on an innertube, and thus the water park was born.

The other Walt Disney World water park, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, has a traditional tropical theme.
