Tiffins Gets New Menu Overhaul

Tiffins Restaurant

Animal Kingdom’s signature table-service restaurant is the popular Tiffins restaurant, which is known for its upscale atmosphere and globally inspired menu. The restaurant draws its culinary inspiration from the regions that influenced the creation of the park, which include Africa, Asia, and South America. The dining rooms are decorated with artifacts and artwork that were collected by Imagineers during research trips for the park.

Tiffins is connected to the popular Nomad Lounge, where guests can enjoy small plates and cocktails while overlooking the park’s waterways. Both of these offerings are considered some of the best dining options that Animal Kingdom and Walt Disney World overall offers, especially for those looking for a more upscale dining experience.

This popular restaurant just got a major menu overhaul, which streamlined more diverse options and removed vegetarian and seafood entrees from the menu. These changes might not be too popular with guests who really enjoyed the diverse menu at Tiffins.

Tiffins Menu Change Streamlines Offerings

Tiffins menu changes
The menu update at Tiffins appears to streamline the menu by removing several highly intricate dishes while introducing a few more approachable items that still highlight the culinary theme of the restaurant. Some guests may not be thrilled with the changes, as one of the most notable changes is the shift from the Andean Beef Short Rib and Surf & Turf toward a simpler Grilled Beef Tenderloin entrée.

The new tenderloin keeps some of the Peruvian-inspired flavors like huancaína sauce and chorizo vinaigrette, but it does appear to streamline the dish by making the scallops an optional add-on. The reductions to the menu also include the removal of the Pan-roasted Fish Fillet and Coconut-Ube Cauliflower Soup, which reduces some of the menu’s seafood and vegetarian variety.

As for the dessert menu, more elaborate offerings were dropped, like the White Chocolate-Orange Crème Brûlée and Hazelnut Entremet. These options were replaced with simpler additions like the African Pot de Crème and Caramel Flan. While these both offer global flavors, they are more in line with classic dessert formats.

You can see the full list of additions and removals below.
