Ticket prices have increased substantially over the years since Disneyland and Disney World first opened. Disney typically raises ticket prices once a year as demand remains high, the parks continue to expand with new experiences for visitors, and Disney continues to increase pay for Cast Members. Now, Disney price increases have taken effect for 2025.
We're taking a look back at historical price increases for various aspects of a Disney vacation to provide perspective on the new price increases. We have now integrated the 2025 price increases into our study to show how these have evolved over the past decade. Our study includes ticket price increases, parking price increases, annual pass increases, Disneyland line skipping service increases, and more. 1 Park Per Day Disneyland Ticket Price Increases
You can see in the chart above how Disneyland 1 Park Per Day tickets have increased in price over the last ten years. Today, as of the 2025 Disneyland price increase, prices range from $104 to $224.
From 2015 to 2025, Disneyland has increased prices for theme park tickets and made some changes to the tiering system they use for 1-day tickets. Previously, in 2015, all 1 Day 1 Park Per Day tickets cost $99. Then, Disneyland introduced a tiered pricing system in 2016, with tickets divided into 3 categories: Value, Regular, or Peak.
Since that point, more tiers have been added over the years. Disneyland introduced a 5-tier system in 2020, and then in 2021, Disney added a Tier 6. Tier 0 was introduced in 2022, and since then, the Tier 0-Tier 6 system has remained the same, though pricing has increased for certain tiers since that time.
The lower end of the 1 Park Per Day tiered pricing has seen far less fluctuation than the higher end, and it has remained the same since 2019 as Disney has made an effort to keep this lowest tier as an affordable option for visitors. From 2015 to 2025, this lowest-priced option has increased in cost by $5 (a 5.05% increase).
As confirmed by Disneyland Public Relations, there are 38 total days (around 10.41%) sold at Tier 0 in 2025 and 39 days (around 10.68%) sold at Tier 6 in 2025.

In 2015, 1 Park Per Day tickets for Disney World used to be divided into Magic Kingdom pricing ($105) and non-Magic Kingdom pricing ($97). Then, in 2016, Disney World introduced a seasonal pricing system (with tickets divided into three categories: Value, Regular, or Peak) before switching to date-based pricing in 2018. As part of this change, the lowest-priced ticket type increased to $109 in October 2018, but for the purposes of our graph, the $102 pricing from the February 2018 increase is shown. In 2022, Disney World switched to park-specific pricing, ranging from the lowest-priced Animal Kingdom tickets to the highest-priced Magic Kingdom tickets.

Disneyland Line Skipping Services Price Increases
From 2017 to 2025, the Disneyland line skipping services increased in price by $24, a 240% increase. These calculations are based on the starting price for Lightning Lane Multi Pass if you purchase in advance of your trip with your tickets. Day-of pricing for Lightning Lane Multi Pass is demand-based and fluctuates depending on the day and season. As of the recent price increase, the day-of pricing for purchasing the service starts at $37.
Disneyland's line-skipping service has undergone some changes over the years. MaxPass, which allowed guests to make reservations on their phones, was introduced in 2017 at $10 per person a day, as a variation of the free FastPass program. Then in 2021, Genie+ replaced the FastPass/MaxPass programs, with pricing starting at $20 per person per day. Since then, Disney introduced demand-based pricing for day-of purchases, implemented incremental price increases, and changed the name of the service to Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
The Lightning Lane Multi Pass cost now starts at $34 as of the 2025 Disneyland price increase. The price increases over the years for this service are reflected in the graph below.
Disneyland Annual Pass Price Increases
Disneyland has also increased the cost of annual pass prices over the years. From 2017-2025, the lowest-priced annual pass increased in cost by $260, a 76.7% increase, and the highest-priced annual pass increased in cost by $850, an 81.03% increase.
Though there have been some changes to the annual pass program and types of passes offered, the tiers of passes have remained comparable to what we have today (excluding the former Premier Pass type, which offered access to Disneyland and Walt Disney World). Today, the Inspire Key has blockout dates encompassing the peak time of year in late December, whereas the former highest-tier Signature Plus pass did not. Magic Key holders are now also required to make park reservations for their visit, and there have been some additional benefits and perks added.
The lowest-priced pass type, which used to be called the SoCal Select, was $339 in 2017 and has now risen to $599 as of 2025 as the current Imagine Key. Pricing did not increase for this pass type between 2024 and 2025. The highest-priced pass type, the Signature Plus, was $1,049 in 2017 and has now increased to $1,899 as the current Inspire Key.
You can see the price increases for comparable annual pass types from 2017 to 2025 in the graph below:
