Disney California Adventure Updated Closure
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind at Disney California Adventure was initially scheduled for a brief two-day closure on February 27 and February 28, with plans to reopen on March 1. However, the closure has now been extended through March 2, pushing the reopening date back an additional day. The ride is now scheduled to reopen on March 3.

This update comes shortly after the attraction underwent a longer refurbishment earlier this year, when it was closed from January 5 through January 22. Given the recent work, this appears to be a shorter maintenance check rather than a major refurbishment. It is not uncommon for a refurbishment to start, and then for the teams realize they need more time to work on the attraction.

The ride joins several other attractions currently unavailable across the resort. At Disney California Adventure, Grizzly River Run and Jumpin’ Jellyfish are also closed. Most of the major rides at the park will be open for the kickoff of the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival next week, but Toy Story Midway Mania will close for refurbishment starting at the beginning of April. Over at Disneyland Park, closures include Jungle Cruise, Golden Zephyr, Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, and the Disneyland Monorail. You can see all of the Disney ride closures happening in March here.
Disneyland also recently filed permits for extensive maintenance for its Pirates of the Caribbean ride, indicating that a refurbishment may be coming up for this iconic ride.
