Disney Guests Lined Up for Hours for Adoptable Toy Experience. Now Full Lineup Has Been Revealed

Disney recently revamped a less popular experience in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which has been successful so far, with the first day of the change resulting in long lines across the park. Disney has been in the process of refreshing experiences, including giving Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run a new The Mandalorian-themed storyline and introducing original trilogy characters into the land.

Now, this Galaxy’s Edge experience is being expanded on with more offerings coming soon. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including the results of a Disney auction experience with retired theme park items and another update to a Star Wars attraction.

Batuu Adventure Buddies Full Lineup Revealed

Disney introduced the first in its line of Batuu Adventure Buddies on August 13 as part of D23 Day at Disneyland. Each Buddy features expressive eyes, motorized facial movements, signature sounds, and responsive touch interactions that react to guests’ attention.

The first in this lineup of three Buddies is the Ewok Batuu Adventure Buddy, which includes a carrying sling, arriving on August 13 at Droid Depot in Disneyland. Guests lined up for hours during the release day to get a chance at purchasing one of these.

They were also available for viewing during the most recent D23: Ultimate Fan Event, but guests were not able to purchase them at the event. We were told they are only available for purchase inside the land.

Batuu Buddies

We were able to get a look at the next two Batuu Adventure Buddies in the collection! Rotta the Hutt will be one of the three in the collection. His little pink tongue sticks out of his mouth, and he features the same expressive eyes and movements as the Ewok. Rotta the Hutt made his first appearance as a baby in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and then as an adult in The Mandalorian & Grogu.

Grogu Adventure Buddy

Grogu is the other character in the Batuu Adventure Buddies collection. He can hold items in his hands like the other toys and makes many of his signature cooing sounds.

The three Batuu Adventure Buddies were displayed together along with a droid from Droid Depot to show how all the characters interact with each other.

We don’t have the release date yet for the other two in the collection. Disney has said they will come at “a later date” to Disneyland, with the full collection also coming to Walt Disney World.
