January Release
January was a month full of Disney LEGO sets that celebrated leading ladies. From classic Disney Princesses such as Ariel and Belle to Disney’s newest female lead, Asha, these sets pack in grace, adventure, and fun. Many of these Disney LEGO sets bring on a unique spin to these popular characters while others fully embody the personalities that we love these ladies for.

May Release
In May of 2024, we weren’t given multiple Disney LEGO sets. Instead, we were only given one! However, this set gave us ALL the feels. Or should I say.. It gave Riley all the feels. That’s right. The single Disney LEGO set that was released in May of 2024 was from Inside Out 2!
43248: Inside Out 2 Mood Cubes
This 394 piece set, which is intended for builders ages 9 and over, doubles as a toy as well as a way to express emotions. With the help of Joy, Anxiety, and two mind workers (Margie and Foreman), builders can express their feelings with the interchangeable mood plates. Build, rebuild, and replace as often as necessary! June Release
June was a big month for Sleeping Beauty, Simba, and BrickHeadz! It was also another month that featured more unique and intricate designs. Some very impressive Disney LEGO sets were released during the month of June.

Another set joined the Mini Disney collection when the Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle set was released. With 528 pieces, builders ages 12 and over can build a miniature model of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Standing just over 7 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide, and 4 inches deep, this Disney LEGO set can be used as a beautiful display piece or great source of fun. This set originally retailed for $39.99.

While this set is only 583 pieces and intended for builders as young as 7 years of age, it is extremely impressive. Though the minifigs give off a childish charm, the Maleficent dragon really steals the show. When coming across this set in person, it instantly caught my eye. Originally retailing for $69.99, this set includes Aurora, Prince Phillip, and Samson minifigs along with the buildable castle and dragon. This set also includes moving features. Out of the two Simba sets that were released in June, this one is far superior. However, it’s also priced much higher at $129.99 and is meant for builders ages 18 and older. Even so, this is another set that I was instantly drawn to when I saw it in person. This 1,445 piece set builds a beautiful, full-form display piece. 43251: Moana’s Flowerpot
Moana's Flowerpot is another set that allows builders ages 9 and over to focus on building a beautiful flower arrangement. This 619 piece set can be used as a display piece or for fun. The base opens up to reveal a detailed space that Moana and Pua can explore and have many adventures in. Along with the flowerpot, you can also build Moana’s boat!This set originally retailed for $39.99.

Snow White’s Jewelry Box LEGO set allows builders ages 6 and over to have a variety of fun. July Release
There were only a few Disney LEGO sets released in July, all of which focused on Disney Princesses. Two, in fact – Ariel and Elsa. 43235: Ariel’s Music Stage
Ariel’s Music Stage is a 60 piece set that is intended for builders ages 4 and over. Included in this set are minifigs of Ariel and Sebastian. With a buildable stage and refreshment counter, Ariel and Sebastian are able to have the best concerts under the sea. The stage area includes a microphone and spinning dance floor so Ariel can really show off her performance skills! Both friends can also express their musical talents. August Release
August brings us to our most recent release. Two new Disney LEGO sets became available just days ago. One of these sets is the first Duplo set of 2024. Duplo sets include big, chunkier bricks and pieces that are perfect for toddler builders! The big pieces are easier for little hands to maneuver and these sets don’t include tiny pieces that could easily become a choking hazard. The other set that was released this month is from Encanto! This set features a special male character. No, not Bruno. You know we don’t talk about him..

Ariel and Flounder’s Café Stand is another Disney LEGO set from Disney Junior’s Ariel: Mermaid Tales. With only 22 pieces, this Duplo set is intended for builders ages 2 and over! Through the build of this set, little builders are working on maneuverability skills in a fun way. They can have endless fun with Ariel and Flounder as they use their imagination to create their own stories and adventures. LEGO often releases many sets right around Christmas time so you will often see many new LEGO sets start to debut this time of the year.
43253: Disney Advent Calendar 2024
Speaking of Christmas, in September, a Disney Advent Calendar LEGO set is being released. This 253 piece set is intended for builders ages 5 and over. The advent calendar – themed around Elsa, Tiana, Ariel, Moana, and Mirabel – includes 24 gifts. Depending on the day, the gift may be a character, activity, or surprise. 21351: Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas
Revisit the tale of the Pumpkin King who kidnaps ‘Sandy Claws’ with a set based on the Tim Burton stop-animation classic. This LEGO Ideas set is based on Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas and is one of the most popular Disney sets this year!
Unreleased Mystery Set
While there is only one Disney LEGO set currently on the Coming Soon list, there is one mystery set that’s on the 2024 release list. This is LEGO set number 43236. Details have yet to be released about this set, making it a complete mystery. The design, age group, piece number, and price are all unknown. The only information that we have at this moment is the set number and confirmation that it will be released in 2024. Perhaps this is one of the sets that will be released closer to Christmas time. While we would love to know what this Disney LEGO set is, the mystery of it does make it exciting and something to look forward to!
