Disneyland Resort‘s Halloween celebrations are still in full swing, but Disney is also looking ahead to the incoming holiday season. As pumpkins give way to Christmas trees, Disney fans may notice a few changes in the theme parks and might want to mark their calendars for a few important dates.

New and Upcoming Changes at Disneyland
Halloween Time is ongoing throughout Disneyland Resort now through October 31, 2026. Guests can experience a Halloween character cavalcade at Disneyland Park and the sold-out Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party at Disney California Adventure, among other offerings.

With the conclusion of spooky season, Disney’s teams will begin dismantling fall décor. This includes all of the setup for Villains Grove, the walkthrough experience at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail during Oogie Boogie Bash. To accommodate the dismantling of the Villains Grove installations, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail will close starting November 1, 2026. Disney hasn’t shared a reopening date, but it will at least be open again in time for its annual Santa meet-and-greet to open on November 13.
Beyond Oogie Boogie Bash, a live show called Mickey’s Trick and Treat performs in the Disney Theater at Disney California Adventure during the park’s regular operating hours as part of Halloween Time. This is the indoor venue in Hollywood Land, where Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! is usually performed. That show has been on hiatus in light of the Halloween production.
Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! will return on November 1, 2026. The theater will have no downtime, with Mickey’s Trick and Treat running through October 31 and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse returning the very next day.
Disneyland Resort’s holiday season will officially take place from November 13, 2026, through January 6, 2027, but a few offerings will follow a slightly different schedule.
As previously announced, holiday-themed character dining will return to two Disneyland Resort hotels from November 16, 2026, through January 3, 2027. This includes:
- Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays! | Breakfast, brunch, and dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen, Disneyland Hotel
- Daisy’s Pajama Party | Breakfast and brunch at Storytellers Café, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel
- Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast | Dinner at Storytellers Café, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel
Disneyland just announced that guests can book reservations for holiday character dining beginning on October 1, 2026.

As Disney previously shared, A Christmas Fantasy Parade will return to Disneyland Park from November 13, 2026, through January 6, 2027. Just revealed, the Plaza Inn restaurant will again host a dining package for A Christmas Fantasy Parade this year, pairing a fixed-price lunch with reserved parade viewing later in the day.
The Plaza Inn dining package will be offered on select dates from November 13 to December 30. The non-eligible dates are November 25, 26, 29, and 30, and December 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 24, and 25. Guests can make reservations for the Plaza Inn dining package starting on October 8.
Speaking of the Plaza Inn, the restaurant’s character dining option, Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park, paused in August 2026. Disney removed this closure notice from the restaurant’s landing page on the Disneyland website on September 22, so it seems that the Plaza Inn’s character breakfast has returned.
