Jungle Cruise closed on February 17, 2026. Disneyland Monorail and Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin both closed on March 30, 2026. Disney has not announced reopening dates for any of these attractions.
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters will close for refurbishment on April 13, 2026, and Disney has not announced a reopening date.
Pirates of the Caribbean will follow, closing for refurbishment on May 4, 2026. Disney has shared with us that this refurbishment is expected to last around a month, but no specific reopening date has been announced yet. The fact that the refurbishment is only supposed to last about a month is new news that has not yet been reported elsewhere.
Now comes the sleuthing. Disneyland will soon host several iterations of its popular Disneyland After Dark special events: Disney Channel Nite, Star Wars Nite, and Pride Nite. Included in the terms and conditions of these events is some fine print about attractions that might be closed during the parties.
Disneyland After Dark: Disney Channel Nite takes place on April 12, 14, and 16, 2026. Disney says, “Certain attractions and offerings may not be available during the event,” including Jungle Cruise, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, and Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters.
Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite happens on April 28 and 30, as well as May 4 and 6, 2026. Disney says that Jungle Cruise, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, and Pirates of the Caribbean may all be closed during the event.
Lastly, Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite takes place on June 16 and 18, 2026. Disney says attractions that may be closed during the event include Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

What does this all mean? Let’s consider a few possibilities.
Disneyland Ride Possible Reopening Timeframes
Based on the dates of the respective Disneyland After Dark events and the Disneyland attractions currently closed, we can assume a few ballpark time ranges for reopenings.
Here are our conclusions, all speculative, based on the information above.
Disneyland Monorail might reopen before April 12.
Jungle Cruise, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters might reopen sometime between May 5 and June 16.
Pirates of the Caribbean could still be closed through at least June 16. Combine this with the month comment and it seems like the refurbishment shouldn’t stretch much longer than this date or that the closure could actually end earlier than this.
Then there’s Disney’s mention of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure possibly being closed during Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite in June. The company has not announced a refurbishment for either attraction, but we wouldn’t read too much into this listing.
Disneyland just completed a large refurbishment of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and previously shared that they do not have another refurbishment planned for that attraction for a while. Such a quick turnaround for another refurbishment would be abnormal for Disney.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened in November 2024 and has not closed for refurbishment since then. It may be due for maintenance soon, as Disney usually closes water rides for refurbishment annually. However, it seems unlikely that the ride would be closed during the summer months.
Therefore, while Disney lists both Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure as possibly being closed during Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite, the attractions are probably just closed during the event’s hours and not for refurbishment.
We’ll keep you updated with Disneyland’s ongoing refurbishments as news progresses.
