Oga’s Cantina Reopening Date Revealed
Oga’s Cantina is currently in the midst of a multi-week closure that began on January 20. Refurbishment timelines are always subject to change, but at the time of writing, we now have a reopening date visible on the refurbishment calendar. Oga’s Cantina is set to reopen on March 14, 2026.

Meanwhile, Rise of the Resistance, which closed for refurbishment on the same date, does not yet have a reopening date listed. You can see all of the current Disneyland ride closures here.
Both of these experiences are closed for refurbishment ahead of some broader changes coming to Galaxy’s Edge. At the moment, Disney has not made any announcements about whether the Oga’s Cantina closure is related to the changes coming. Disney previously confirmed that the Rise of the Resistance refurbishment is independent of the Galaxy’s Edge land updates.
Disney recently filed a permit for drainage improvements at the bar. Here is what that permit reads: “Tenant Improvement: Saw cut concrete around existing bar to install new floor drains and scupper-style walls. Apply waterproof plaster along base of walls.”
It is unclear if there will be any broader changes made to the bar during this closure. We know that because Disneyland is shifting the timeline for this area of Galaxy’s Edge, the timeline of Oga’s Cantina will also be rolled back.
In this version of Batuu, Oga has only recently begun operating the bar. Disney shared, “In the era of the Galactic Civil War, proprietor Oga Garra only recently opened this watering hole, which is already becoming a popular spot for intergalactic travelers.”

As we discussed in our article announcing the Oga’s Cantina closure, it is possible that Oga’s Cantina may get a menu refresh, as Disney teased that in the context of the timeline shifts, they are “working really closely to update and align some of those offerings as well.” Once again, nothing has been officially confirmed by Disney, but it would stand to reason that some new offerings may be coming.
The broader changes to Galaxy’s Edge are officially coming on April 28. These changes will essentially relaunch parts of the land by introducing original trilogy characters, store and merchandise updates, and changes to certain dining experiences.
