Attraction Guide to Walt Disney World’s: Animal Kingdom

“Welcome to a kingdom of animals… real, ancient and imagined: a kingdom ruled by lions, dinosaurs and dragons; a kingdom of balance, harmony and survival; a kingdom we enter to share in the wonder, gaze at the beauty, thrill at the drama, and learn.” ~  Michael D. Eisner, April 22, 1998 on the opening day of Animal Kingdom.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened on Earth Day in April 1988 and is the one of largest theme parks in the world. This park is unique because it is dedicated and themed entirely around the natural environment and animal conservation.  Disney’s Animal Kingdom features attractions as well as hundreds of species of live animals on exhibit.
